                  Ronald.W.Edsforth@Dartmouth.EDU

Schedule: Mondays/Wednesdays, 5 – 7pm
Location:  TBA

Description:
Students interrogate the widespread belief that humanity has recently entered a new stage of global integration.  They begin with an in-depth historical exploration of the content and character of the economic processes most often identified as “globalization.?  Next they consider what many observers see as a related integration of international politics and law, and the major forces opposed to this political globalization.   Finally, students examine the celebration of globalization and resistance to globalization as phenomena in the popular cultures of both the rich and poor regions of the world.
