David Ehrlich

David Ehrlich is a visiting Professor in Film and Television Studies. He studied at Cornell University, UC-Berkeley and Columbia University. His award- winning films are held in the collections of MOMA, Pacific Film Archive, the ASIFA Archive in Berlin and the International Animation Library in Tokyo. Ehrlich has produced many international animation collaborations, including ACADEMY LEADER VARIATIONS, which won a special jury prize at Cannes and ANIMATED SELF-PORTRAITS, which was selected for the Oscars Short List. Ehrlich was on the Executive Board of ASIFA (The International Animators Association) for twelve years and served as Vice-President of that organization for six of them. He teaches courses in Animation Production, Animation History and Theory, Asian Animation, Chinese Film (with Prof. Mowry), and Representation of the Creative Artist in Film. " Ehrlich is also Guest Professor and Director of the International Animation Research Center at the Beijing Film Academy and Board Member of the A Da Animation Center in Shanghai.
