The November Bible Study on Women of the Old Testament was very well attended. Sophia Assur introduced the attendees to the reality of women’s lives in a religious patriarchy, and then demonstrated how truly remarkable those women were who changed the course of events through determination and listening to the voice of God.

Sunday Dec. 16 - the Mary Martha Unit will host the fellowship hour, collecting contributions for Calumet Camperships and the Community Dinners, funds to be matched by Thrivent.

Put Saturday, January 12, 2008 on your calendars for an Epiphany celebration with the Lutheran women of Enfield and Claremont. Mariam Shaffer has arranged for the Shaker Singers, a local group, to come share their traditional music at the Enfield Community Lutheran Church.
