THE APOSTLE PAUL: HIS WRITINGS AND HIS WORLD. Beginning September 28th, on Monday evenings from 6-7:30, Pastor Susan will offer a course on “The Apostle Paul: His Writings and His World”. Sparked by her summer sabbatical journey to Turkey (on “Paul and the Roman Empire”) that was led by biblical scholars Marcus Borg and Dominic Crossan, this series explores Paul’s New Testament letters to the churches, the world in which he lived, and the other NT account of Paul’s life and work that we’ve been given in the Acts of the Apostles. Part I of the Paul course will meet through Monday, November 16th. Copies of the new Lutheran Study Bible (NRSV) are be available for purchase ($19) to use as a common text for study.
