COVER Work Day for OSLC: The Social Ministry Committee in its outreach to the Upper Valley community has organized a workday with COVER Home Repair staff and volunteers from the OSLC community. The workday is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Volunteers will be able to sign up for either a full day or half day’s work. The location of the worksite is Enfield, NH and directions will be forthcoming to those who volunteer. The project is “Home Weatherization.”
Shake hands with strangers at the beginning of the day. Hammer a nail and measure a board. Share lunch. Laugh. Cut a shingle. Work hard. Learn a new skill and exchange ideas. Shake hands with new friends at the day’s end.
