Isaac Allen, b. Mason, NH 6 Sept., 1777, son of --
Rebecca Daiken, b. Mason, NH, 15 April, 1777, dau. of Amos & Sarah Thankful (Minot) Dakin
They were m. in Lincoln, Mass., 8 Feb., 1798 [They came to Windsor County first locating at Andover Vt. in 1797; removed to Chester in 1804.
CHILDREN:
1. Charles, b. Andover, Vt. 18 June, 1799. He died Waterloo, Canada
2. Isaac, b. Andover, 3 May, 1801.*
3. Joseph, b.--, died in New York City
4. Jonas, b. 24 Oct., 1805. He m. 26 Feb., 1832, Sarah J. Whitemore (b.- dau of Thomas Whitemore, Esq.) They removed to Schoolcraft, Michigan in 1837. Jonas d. Schoolcraft,, Michigan. Sarah d. in Kalamazoo, 10 April, 1888. Her remains carried to Schoolcraft and buried in her old home where she lived for 50 yrs.
5. Rebecca, b. Claremont, NH, 26 March, 1808, d. unm., 23 Oct., 1895 (age 86)
6. George W., b. 26 June, 1812 ....... d. 24 June, 1817
7. Amos Dakin, b. 19 May, 1815, d. at Kalamazoo, Michigan. 20 Dec. 1888
8. Lucy, b. 29 March, 1818, m. Aldis Burgess
9. Mary, b. 24 April, 1821, m. 11 Oct., 1849, David A. Sherwin of Chester
Isaac Allen died at Chester, 18 Sept., 1849 (age 77)
Rebecca, widow of Isaac, died at Chester, 3 June, 1857
