I was applying to grad schools this year, and I got to sit down and talk with Professor Stanford while I was at Rice's recruitment events. I got the impression that he'd be a really good fit for the department. As for me, after a year of applications, I'm now starting grad school! I decided on UCSB, and I'll start classes in a couple weeks. If everything goes according to plan, I'll have a Ph.D. in five years, but I guess we all know how that goes...
