Jones Media Center carries a variety of audio equipment. The basic Olympus audio recorders work well for most projects and are loaned on a walk-in basis. More advanced equipment is available but must be requested ahead of time and requires a 15-minute training session.
These small digital recorders are great for most recordings. The Olympus records in the Windows Media Audio (.WMA) file format. The built-in USB terminal allows for easy file transfer to your computer. Macintosh users can convert .WMA files using the SWITCH Audio Converter, QuickTime Pro, or Audial Hub available in the center.
