How to connect from
off-campus
The best way to avoid delays in course reserve processing is to have your course reserve list submitted by the pre-term deadline as specified.
If you are attempting to access electronic resources from Off-Campus using a DSL, Broadband or any other ISP other than Dartmouth Dial-In modem connections, we recommend that you install the VPN (Virtual Private Network) client software.
- Installing the VPN Client on a Windows Computer (Kerberos required)
- Installing the VPN Client on a Mac OS X Computer (Kerberos required)
When you run the VPN client software you have a secure, encrypted connection to the Dartmouth campus and a Dartmouth College IP address.
VPN will only work for users with a dartmouth.edu email address. It will NOT work if you are a Hitchcock.org user.
