DartDoc Status

DartDoc allows you to check on the progress of your request. Status is assigned as the request moves through the DartDoc system.

 

Awaiting Copyright Clearance This article request has been submitted by the customer and it is awaiting copyright processing to determine if any copyright fees need to be paid.
Awaiting Customer Contact This requested item has arrived and has been processed by the document delivery staff, but we have not yet contacted the customer to inform him/her that the item has arrived.
Awaiting Document Delivery Processing This request was routed to staff who will supply the item from Dartmouth's collection.
Awaiting Extensive Searching This request could not be requested easily and needs some additional searching and examination.
Awaiting Non-Supplier Processing This item cannot be requested via OCLC. It will now be processed as an ALA (American Library Association) request and sent via fax or e-mail to a potential lender.
Awaiting Post Receipt Processing This requested item has arrived, but has not yet been processed by the document delivery staff.
Awaiting Return Label Processing This item has been returned to the document delivery office by the customer. It is currently awaiting return processing so that it can be returned to the lender.
Awaiting Renewal Request Processing This request is awaiting staff processing and contacting the lending library requesting a renewal.
Awaiting Request Processing This requested item has been submitted by the customer and has gone through the copyright clearance process, if necessary. It is now ready to be searched and requested from potential lenders. From here it may be routed to various staff for processing. You will see different staff names in this status.
Cancelled By Customer The customer has cancelled this request and no longer requires the item.
Cancelled By ILL Staff

This request has been cancelled by the document delivery staff. The reason for this cancellation may be found in DartDoc by selecting View/Resubmit Cancelled Requests and looking at the detailed information for the cancelled item.

Note: If one of your requests is cancelled by the document delivery staff, DartDoc immediately sends you an e-mail message explaining why
the item was cancelled.

Checked Out to Customer The requested item has arrived, has been processed by the document delivery staff, and has been checked out to the customer. The item will then be available for check out at the patrons pick-up location.
Customer Notified via E-Mail The requested item has arrived, has been processed by the document delivery staff, and the customer has been notified of its availability via e-mail.
In DD Stacks Searching This request is currently being searched in the libraries' collection to be retrieved for copying or shipping.
Delivered to Web The requested item has arrived, has been processed by the document delivery staff, and has been posted to the customer's DartDoc account, where it may be viewed and/or downloaded electronically via Adobe Acrobat.
In Print Queue The requested item has arrived and has been partially processed by the document delivery staff. It is currently awaiting the printing of its identification label.
In Return Address Print Queue The item has been returned to the document delivery office by the customer. It has been checked in and is awaiting the printing of its return address label.
Incorrect Item Received and Returned An item was received that does not match the item that was requested. It has been returned to the lender and the original item will be re-requested.
Item Checked In The item has been returned to the document delivery office by the customer and the item has been checked in. It is now ready for return processing.
Item Returned The item has been returned to the lender.
Received Incorrect/Partial Item An item was received that either does not match the item that was requested or is incomplete. The document delivery staff will determine the quickest means to correct this.
Request Finished

The entire request process has been completed successfully. Requests with this status are archived under the 'View Request History' button.

Note: Cancelled requests are not at Request Finished status and thus do not display under View Request History; Cancelled requests may be found under the View/Resubmit Cancelled Requests button.

Request In Processing This request is being processed at this moment.
Request Sent This request has been sent by document delivery staff to several owning libraries and we're waiting for a response.
Submitted by Customer This request has been submitted by the customer and is awaiting processing by the document delivery staff.
