Preservation Services: Digitization Project Support

Library staff should contact Preservation Services for a collection condition review of items being digitized prior to beginning any project. Preservation staff will evaluate the collection and repair any items that need conservation treatment prior to scanning. Staff will also advise which scanner best fits the needs of the item, provide instruction for keeping the scanning equipment clean, as well as care and handling instructions for a variety of formats, and perform post scanning repairs. Staff are also available for pre and post scan quality assurance.

To discuss how Preservation Services can support your project contact Barb Sagraves or Deborah Howe.
