How to access your account

You can access your account from any computer using the following steps:

  1. Click on the "Account Login" link at the top of any library catalog page.
  2. Enter your name as it appears on your Dartmouth ID, DHMC ID, or Library Card.
  3. Enter your Dartmouth ID number (e.g., 12345X)

If you have a Library Card or a DHMC ID, enter the barcode number with no spaces.
  4. Enter your four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).

If this is the first time you are using the View Your Record feature, you will need to create a PIN. Do this by leaving the PIN box blank. You'll be given the opportunity to create a PIN when you click the "Submit" button.

If you have forgotten your PIN, please click on the link, "Forgot your PIN?" and follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. Click on the "Submit" button.

Use the command buttons to view the different sections of your patron record.

Logging Out

It is important to log out after you are finished looking at your patron record. Failure to do so could jeopardize the privacy of your library account if you are using a public computer.

  • To log out, click on the "Logout" button or close your browser window.
  • Your session will automatically log off after 1 hour of inactivity.
