How to register for PubMed’s Loansome Doc Service

Click here for an explanation of the Biomedical Libraries Document Delivery service policies including eligibility, charges, and limitations.

PubMed’s Loansome Doc feature allows you to order copies of articles directly from your search results. To register for Loansome Doc, go to: https://docline.gov/loansome/registerbegin.cfm?

Step 1: Click on the Get Started button.

Step 2: Click on enter your Library Identifier.

Step 3: On the bottom of the connecting page will be this form:

Enter NHUDAR as the LIBID. Click Continue.

Step 4: Select the category that best describes you. If you have any document delivery questions click on the Library Email, Biomedical Libraries Document Delivery will respond.

Review the terms of use and check the box if you agree to them. Members of the Dartmouth and DHMC/Lebanon communities, and hospitals that have contracted for library service, do not pay for document delivery unless the cost of an individual transaction exceeds $35.00. If the cost of obtaining an article exceeds $35, we will check with you first to see if you were willing to pay the difference. Click on Continue.

Step 5: Review the Terms of Use statment, and then click on Accept at the bottom of the page.

Step 6: Choose a password that you can easily remember and click on Continue.

Step 7: Verify your registration information and click on Complete Registration when you are satisfied that everything is correct.

Please also register for DartDoc if you have not already done so using the email address of your LoanSome Doc registration as your DartDoc UserName.

You can now use Loansome Doc to order documents from PubMed searches.
