Health Statistics -- Hidden Treasures, Part TWO

Tuesday, December 4, 2007
12:00 noon - 1:00 pm
DHMC, Auditorium E

John Cocklin's September '07 Library Grand Rounds talk introduced some important resources for finding health statistics. In "Part TWO" we continued our exploration of statistics-finding resources, spending some time with HCUPnet (which provides access to health statistics and information on hospital inpatient and emergency department utilization) and WHOSIS (World Health Organization Statistical Service), and the Census, and using Medline to help find the numbers we seek.

This Library Grand Rounds was presented by Tom Mead, MLS, Research and Education Librarian, Dartmouth Biomedical Libraries.

Library Grand Rounds are a forum for presenting information resources and tools of interest to Dartmouth clinicians. Please contact us, if you have questions, comments, or suggestions for future Library Grand Rounds (Biomedical.Libraries.Education@Dartmouth.edu, or call 603-650-1683.)
