The Computing and Media Services staff support the computing environment and media resources in the Biomedical Libraries. The primary clientele of the computing resources and collections are the students and faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Other users include health professionals affiliated with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and students and faculty of the Dartmouth College Department of Biological Sciences.
Computer clusters are maintained at the Dana Biomedical Library and within the Matthews-Fuller Library. The clusters contain both Macintosh and Windows computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers. All of the computers are connected to the Dartmouth or DHMC networks and wireless access is available throughout both Libraries. Many local and network resources are available which support the Medical School curriculum.
The media collections include items in the following formats: 35mm slide, 1/2" (VHS) videocassette, CD-ROM and DVD.
Computing and Media Services also provides scheduling and media support for the Dana Library classrooms.
