How to connect from
off-campus
To see whether a journal is at Dartmouth in order to read an article or copy it yourself:
To request that the Biomedical Libraries provide you with a copy of the article from a journal, whether or not it is at Dartmouth: Use the Biomedical Libraries' DartDoc Service to request a copy of an article.
[Return to "Where do I start?"]
In the Dartmouth Library Catalog, use the "title" search option and search for the title of the book or the journal in which the article is found (not the article title or author). The catalog will tell you whether Dartmouth owns the book/journal and where it is located. If a journal is available in digital format, the catalog will provide a link.

To request that the book be obtained from another library so that you can borrow it:
To request that the Biomedical Libraries consider the book for purchase to add to the collection: Use the Recommend a Book or Journal Purchase form.
