The Dana Biomedical Library houses a wide variety of older materials shelved in areas restricted to staff only. This material is identified in the library catalog with the location of "Dana Onsite Storage."
The Rauner Special Collections Library houses Dartmouth's most rare and special material, including that in medicine and the life sciences. Rauner also archives publications of Dartmouth Medical School and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Requests for Dana Onsite Storage materials may be made at the circulation desk of the Dana Biomedical Library. Generally the material will be retrieved within one working day of the request. Most material may circulate from the library by registered borrowers for four weeks with up to three renewals. Some material may be restricted to in-library use only due to its fragile condition.
For more information or to request material be retrieved from Dana Onsite Storage, please call the circulation desk at 603-650-1658, or email: Dana.Library.Circulation@dartmouth.edu
