Dartmouth Summer Arts Festival 2007

Taking its cue from Ovid's celebrated poem Metamorphoses, this festival will pursue the theme of metamorphoses (changes) in various artistic media and in differing cultural contexts over time. The theme is one that has challenged artists from Ovid through the present, and the festival hopes to capture some of the creative excitement it has generated. The program will include a performance of Ovid's Metamorphoses, but other performances, some organized in conjunction with the Hopkins Center, will attest to the diverse ways in which metamorphoses have been envisioned in theater, music and visual art.
