Watch as the magical myths of Ovid come to life in this incredible new international theater production! Northern Stage, Developing Artists and the Leslie Center for the Humanties Center at Dartmouth College present "The 'O' Myths," July 6 on the Hanover Green. In Ovid's "Metamorphoses," mortals tangle with gods and with each other with astonishing results. The tales include the fate of the greedy Midas, Echo's ill-fated love for the selfish Narcissus, and much more. Selected Dartmouth students join actors from Mexico and Zimbabwe to stage this sexy and stylish new production. Performances begin at twilight (7.30 p.m.). Free and open to the public! White River Junction's professional theater company will give students an unprecedented opportunity to work with renowned directors and an international group of professional actors during the Dartmouth Summer Arts Festival. Professional actors from Zimbabwe and Mexico, along with a U.S. actor who has worked internationally, Northern Stage Artistic Director Brooke Ciardelli and London producer/director Giles Ramsay, will facilitate a production of Ovid's Metamorphoses. Students will have an opportunity to participate in building an exciting production from the ground up, exploring a timeless text with modern implications.
