    Contrasts the working principles of the TLL and OLD projects. The TLL reflects the height of 18th-century German academic thinking: the comprehensive Thesaurus, the Teubner texts to provide modern, critical editions of ancient authors, the journal Archiv für lateinische Lexicographie und Grammatik to publish articles about lexicographical problems. The advantages of the OLD as a school/university dictionary.

Reviews of the Oxford Latin Dictionary: illustrate the criteria for evaluating lexicographical studies and central problems in the lexicographical study of the Latin language, historical and geographical (e.g. 1000 years throughout the Mediterranean basin and the extent of the Roman Empire) and analytical (e.g. the importance placed on first use of a word or on orthography).

Bozzi, A., and G. Cappelli. 1990. "A Project for Latin Lexicography: 2, A Latin Morphological Analyzer." Computers and the Humanities 24.5/6: 421-426.

Bozzi and Capelli use tables and examples to explain how computational linguistic models are used to create the Latin Lexical Database (RELAL), by first breaking down the words into their components so that they may be identified and then organizing them into different lemmata.

Coleman, K. 2007. "The 'Thesaurus Linguae Latinae' and Classical Scholarship in the 21st Century: Five Perspectives." Transactions of the American Philological Association 137: 473-476.

K. Coleman, as the chair of the TLL committee for the American Philological Association, organized a panel treating areas of Thesaurus work and lexicographical study. The published papers offer a useful introduction to lexicography in English.

Colombo, A. M. B. 1990. "Justinian Lexicography." Computers and the Humanities 24.5/6: 453-460.

Colombo's article explains the process of creating and organizing a Greek and a Latin lexicon and dictionary for Justinian's constitutions.
