Closing for Trips!
Posted by LCC on 8/23/11 at 4:17pm

Unfortunately, the rental business will be closed for the period of 8/29 through 9/19, owing to the needs of the DOC's incoming First-year Trips program. Sory for the inconvenience, and we hope to see you when we reopen for the fall!

Full swing of summer!
Posted by LCC on 6/19 at 11:47pm

The rental business has just recently moved to summer hours, meaning we are now open until 8pm for rentals each day! Come down and take advantage of our extended hours and the cool, evening air, to beat the heat! Canoes and kayaks are available for rent every day. For more information about rentals, click here!

Opening for Spring!

Ledyard is getting ready to open for the spring! We've set our opening date at next Friday, May 13th, based on the gradually warming water temperatures. Come down and celebrate the end of the spring snowmelt by taking out a canoe or kayak in the beautiful spring weather! We look forward to seeing you there! For more info, please click here; or to make a group reservation, email us.

Riverfest Schedule Changes
Posted by LCC on 4/14 at 8:29am

Due to unanticipated very high flows, we have had to change our plans for Riverfest this weekend. Please visit the Riverfest site for more details.

Riverfest is approaching!
Posted by LCC on 3/31 at 10:43pm

Now that our annual spring break pilgrimage to Asheville is behind us, the big news of the spring is our 3rd annual Riverfest! Make sure you don't miss it- head over to the Riverfest page and sign up now! We've still got tons of snow in the mountains that's just waiting for a little bit of sun before flooding the rivers and creeks of the Upper Valley, which should make for a very interesting Wells River Rumble indeed. Come for the kayaking, stay for the party- or the other way around- because it's sure to be an awesome weekend!

3rd Annual Riverfest!
Posted by LCC on 1/14 at 6:11pm

We have begun planning on our 3rd annual Riverfest! Look for this to be the biggest, most fun Riverfest yet! Mark your calendars now: the date has been set for April 15th-17th. Events will include the Riverfest Triathlon, the 45th annual Mascoma Slalom, the Wells River Rumble, and, of course, the festival party on Saturday night with giveaways, raffles, and good times! For more information, see our Riverfest page!

Spring Trip 2011!
Posted by LCC on 1/12 at 9:13pm

Ledyard is gearing up for our Spring Break trip! Click here to download your application (.doc format). We will leave from Hanover on March 16th, and go paddle the gnar in Asheville, NC for ten days (or so) and return to Hanover the day before spring term classes start. Applications are due by Sunday, January 16th, so get them in soon! Applications can be submitted by email to lcc@dartmouth.edu. We hope you'll join us!

Welcome to winter!
Posted by LCC on 1/1 at 3:51pm

Due to the snow and cold temperatures, we will not be doing any kayaking outdoors for a few months. We do have pool time available for learning how to roll (and anything else you want to work on), which is a great way to get involved with the club! We're also offering two PE classes for the term; although registration is now closed, talk to Laura Dukeshire in Robinson Hall if you're interested in joining.

Rentals closed for the season.
Posted by LCC on 11/1 at 10:31am

The water temperature of the Connecticut has dropped below 50 degrees, and as such, it is time for our rental program to close for the winter. We look forward to seeing you in the spring when the water warms up! Check back again when it starts to warm up, and we'll post our predicted opening date here!
