Rental Information
Boats available
Ledyard Canoe Club rents a variety of cruising canoes that fit 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, and one-person sea kayaks. We are open for business whenever the Connecticut River is warmer than 50 degrees, weather permitting (usually between May 15th and October 10th). Rentals may also be closed from September 1st to September 15th for freshmen DOCTrips. If in doubt, please call the club at: 603-643-6709.
IMPORTANT
For liability reasons, no Ledyard gear may be taken to whitewater or the ocean unless accompanied by a certified Ledyard whitewater or Sea Kayaking leader. In addition, Ledyard does not rent neoprene spray skirts.
Lifejackets (PFDs) must be carried by all canoeists and kayakers and must be easily accessible. One PFD per person.
Non-swimmers and children must wear lifejackets at all times.

Summer (approximately June 7- September 1)

Spring (approximately May 15- June 6) and Fall (approximately September 15- October 10)
Weekends: 10 AM to 6 PM

Titcomb Cabin Non-Member: $10 per person/night (does not include canoes)

The privileges of Membership
Membership allows you to go on any club trips. It also allows you to rent one canoe or two kayaks free for up to 24 hours any time we are open. Family memberships allow you to take 2 canoes, or 4 kayaks, or one canoe and two kayaks for 24 hours. After 24 hours members pay regular rental fee, unless renting boats for an entire week, in which case members get a $20.00 per boat per week discount. Members are also entitled to free overnight boat use to get to Titcomb Cabin for an overnight stay.
Boat reservations
Boat reservations can only be made if reserving 5 boats or more (except when reserving boats in conjunction with Titcomb cabin) . A 50% deposit is required to hold reservations (members do not have to pay deposit). Reservations cancelled 48 hours in advance get full refund deposit, and cancellations made 36 hours in advance receive a 50% deposit. Call (603) 643 6709
