MOOndo Latino

A MOO is an online environment in which users communicate with each other and interact with the environment, for example, by meeting in virtual rooms to interact with, share and discuss objects in the rooms and virtual objects presented via the browser such as movies, texts, or Web pages.

MOOs are an extension of MUDs which were first developed in 1979. The first MOO was written by Stephen White and Pavel Curtis in 1990. Educators have since adapted MOOs for educational and scholarly purposes, using these online meeting places for such activities as lecture, discussion, role-playing, and exploration.
