Lourdes Gutiérrez-Nájera has recently been awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University. Under the terms of the fellowship, Prof. Gutiérrez-Nájera will be associated with the Program on Ethnicity, Race, and Migration during the 2009-2010 academic year.
She also received the first place award, the "Kurt M. Landgraf outstanding Dissertation Award" sponsored by the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) and the Educational Testing Service (ETS) for her dissertation entitled "Yalálag is No Longer Just Yalálag: Circulating Conflict and Contesting Community in a Zapotec Transnational Circuit."
