Welcome to my personal page. I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and lived there for 17 years before moving to the U.S. That was the longest time I lived anywhere on one place. Now I live in Hanover, NH and teach at Dartmouth College.  I am married to Michael Simons. We have two children, Daniel and Vicki. We also have two cats, Cous-cous and Kiesa. They don't  have web pages. If they want them, they can make their own if they ever take time off from tearing up the house.
