Leslie Atkins, Ph.D.
Leslie received her M.S. in Physics from the University of Washington and her Ph.D in physics from the University of Maryland.
She has been with a postdoctoral researcher with Kevin Dunbar since 2005. She is interested in how people learn science, in
focusing in particular on scientific discourse. At Dartmouth, she has been working with TEAMS (Traveling Exhibits at Museums of Science) and the
Montshire Museum of Science to better understand and improve family conversations about science. Leslie also teaches at the Governor's school of North Carolina, enjoys the outdoors, and loves her wonderful English Setter, Clara. This fall, she will be moving to the LessonLab in Santa Monica, California.
