The mission of HQ76.3/New England is to support the work of regional lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered librarians and other library staff and to meet the broader needs of the library community, both staff and users.
- by providing a support network for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered staff in the libraries and library systems of New England
- by advocating and organizing around issues of concern and interest both within libraries and within the larger public area
- by offering the skills and expertise of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered institutions, organizations, and agencies with particular interest in gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered issues, and
- by exchanging information with other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered professional groups.
