Team Photos - New Team Wheel
The team recently received a donation to purchase an Anderson wheel for tranporting a patient out of certain wilderness situations. The wheel
is shown here with one of our litters. Team members got their first chance to practice with it in late February.
Here is the completed assembly of wheel and litter. Once assembled, it needs to be balanced with the patient in the litter.
The first victim is prepared for a ride on the wheel.
[I know "patient" is a more politically correct word, but, hey, the team had never used the wheel and we were going to take him up and down a
set of stairs!]
The team struggles up a steep, heavily forested embankment.
OK, its really just a set of stairs. A little imagination makes the training a little more fun especially for the person taking the
pictures.

Remember people, what doesn't kill you makes your stronger.
Was that a curse word I heard!!
The team practices belaying the wheel/litter down an incline.
The belay is completed. Was that a sigh of relief I heard from the patient??
