As a service to Dartmouth’s international population in preparing their 2007
federal tax returns, the International Office is providing access to
CINTAX a web-based tax return preparation system. Use of this
system through the College is restricted to nonresident alien students,
scholars and faculty who have a direct relationship with Dartmouth and who were
enrolled or employed at Dartmouth during 2007. This tax preparation software
checks to ensure that tax treaty benefits are taken, completes the correct U.S.
income tax form, either Form 1040NR or Form 1040NR-EZ, prepares Form 8843, and
prints all tax forms. CINTAX can also be used to determine a
foreign national's U.S. residency status in those instances where a student or
scholar is not sure if he or she should be filing as a resident or non
resident.
To use the software you will need an individual password which will be
provided upon payment of a nominal $3.00 user fee and signing of a required
disclaimer form.
Please fill out this online form to request your CINTAX
password. On receipt of your request, a disclaimer form will be mailed to you
for signature. Return the disclaimer form together with your $3.00 payment to
the International Office. Your password and CINTAX
instructions will be emailed to you. You may also bring the $3.00 fee and
disclaimer form directly to the International Office where you will receive the
password. You may purchase a password in the International Office between 9:00
am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and Wednesday from 10:30 am to 4:00
pm.
Please call us at 603-646-3474 or email us at International.Office@dartmouth.edu
if you have any questions.
Note: All information is required before your request can
be submitted for processing.
