International Student Mentor Program

The International Office and the International Student Association sponsor an International Student Mentor program (ISM) in order to help newly admitted Dartmouth undergraduate students overcome difficulties during the first academic year. When you sign up for this program, you will be matched with a mentor who will be a resource to help you with questions, concerns and problems. This mentor will contact you over the summer to answer any questions you have, and to facilitate your arrival to Dartmouth. As an upperclass student, mentors can help you find different resources and opportunities on campus, and offer you advice on things like courses, culture shock, and roommates, and the like.

Many students find their mentors to be great sources of information and wonderful friends. We highly encourage you to take advantage of this program.

If you are an incoming undergraduate student and would like to sign up for this program, please visit the link below to complete and submit the International Student Mentor Request Form.
