Dartmouth College, founded in 1769 and the nation’s ninth oldest, is a
private, four-year liberal arts institution that has consistently been at the
forefront of American higher education. Dartmouth is an undergraduate college
with 29 departments, 10 interdisciplinary programs and graduate schools of arts
and sciences, medicine, engineering, and business There are 4,100
undergraduates and 1,600 graduates.
A member of the Ivy League, Dartmouth is a superb undergraduate residential
college with the intellectual character of a university, featuring thriving
research and first-rate graduate and professional programs. Graduate programs
include the study of global markets at the Tuck School of Business, 19 graduate

Dartmouth Medical School, founded in 1979, is the nation’s fourth-oldest
medical school, has approximately 700 full-time faculty and an additional 1,600
part-time faculty and researchers. It receives 5,000 applications yearly
to fill 82 places in the entering medical class and enrolls more than 550
medical and graduate students.
Tuck Business School, founded in 1900, is the first graduate school of
management and consistently ranks among the top business schools worldwide. As
of October 2006, Tuck ranks # 2 in the world's top 100 full-time MBA programs.
Tuck offers full-time MBA as well as executive education and non-degree
programs. It boasts 46 full-time faculty members and approximately 480 MBA
students, representing more than 30 nationalities.
Thayer School of Engineering, founded in 1867, comprises undergraduate
Department of Engineering Sciences and a professional school with degrees
through doctorate. It is one of the smallest, most personal of the nation’s
leading engineering schools, with forty-five full-time faculty, serving 600
undergraduate and 180 graduate students.
Dartmouth’s location and its strong commitment to adult education are part
