Much has been discussed about "values" during this past election campaign. The discussion has been couched in religious terms. It has been generally assumed that the Bible is the source of whatever values we hold dear. This course will discuss that assumption. It will focus on the Biblical view of such subjects as Hebrew law and the Prophetic Tradition, Faith and Belief in God, War and Terrorism, Homosexuality, Abortion, Marriage and the Family, The Role of Women, and Science and Theology-From Evolution to Stem Cell Research. The class will meet once a week for eight weeks.
Class is limited to 40 members.
