The story of alcohol: history, production, what it does to the body, what the body does to it, heavy drinking and addiction. Mostly a lecture course with some directed discussion.
Class is limited to 20 participants.
Roger Smith is a semi-retired Irene Heinz Given Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Emeritus, at Dartmouth Medical School. He holds BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University.
