Fiction Writing

An eight-week course designed to sharpen writing skills, with or without previous experience.  This course will help you develop your strengths and overcome your weaknesses and guide you through the rough spots until you find your own writing niche.  The first six sessions will be assignments, to “bring out the writer in you.”  Your work will be read in class and will be critiqued honestly, gently and non-intimidatingly.  The student will learn to evaluate his own work by asking, “Do I capture and hold the reader’s interest?  Emphasis will be placed on having students read their work in class.

Class is limited to 8 members.

SUE LEVI  is a graduate of the International School of Geneva and the University of Geneva, Switzerland.  She has a BA in French Literature and has taught  fiction writing at Skidmore College, Saratoga, NY.  She has been published in the New York Times, Red Book Magazine, and a number of other magazines.

She has a keen interest in bringing out the best in the novice as well as the experienced fiction writer.  Some of her students’ work has been published.
