Applications
Prospective students in the Dartmouth Polar Environmental Change IGERT should be interested in research focused on polar research questions. Applicants should apply to a specific graduate program or professional school at Dartmouth College and express their interest in the IGERT Program. The major Dartmouth graduate programs participating in IGERT are Biological Sciences (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology), Earth Sciences and Engineering Sciences. Admission to the IGERT program is contingent upon admission to the specific graduate program to which an applicant applies.
Dartmouth IGERT fellowships are open to US citizens or permanent residents. (Canadian-born students who qualify under the American Indian Law Alliance can also apply.) Applicants who are not eligible for or who do not receive a fellowship may apply to attend IGERT classes as an IGERT Associate.
We strongly recommend that students contact a Dartmouth faculty member in their area of interest as well as the IGERT program before applying.
Applicants receive formal notification of their acceptance from the department to which they applied and the Graduate Studies Office.
