The EEI and Class Divide Resources Web Page

Background

Welcome to the Economic Equity Initiative and Class Divide resources web page. These two campus-wide projects aim to address issues of socio-economic class at Dartmouth College and in the Upper Valley community in a variety of ways. The Hopkins Center's multi-year Class Divide is the first substantial cross-campus/community project in the country to examine the issue of class through the arts. The Economic Equity Initiative is an ongoing campus project that explores the meanings and workings of socio-economic class at Dartmouth and is devoted to providing resources, encouraging coordination of efforts, identifying needs, and recommending new approaches with regard; it is jointly coordinated by the Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity, the Office of Pluralism & Leadership, and the Tucker Foundation.

We seek to educate and empower our community to understand and address socio-economic difference as a factor that shapes the culture and character of our lives and institutions.
