Transforming Mars

Evidence suggests that Mars was once a warmer, wetter planet with a thicker atmosphere. This raises the question of whether Mars could be transformed back into a planet more like Earth. The process of transforming a planet into a place suitable for supporting life is called terraforming. This site, Terraforming Mars, leads to a comprehensive page on terraforming compiled by the Astrobiology web.
