2005 Dartmouth College United Way Campaign

Dartmouth's 2005 United Way Campaign kicked off on October 10 and will continue through February 14.  Visit this Web site to keep updated on the various happenings throughout the campaign, and make sure that you look for the campaign thermometer in front of Collis!

This year will feature a number of fundraising events, with each of the College's divisions bringing their own culture and approach. For 2006, in light of increasing energy prices, skyrocketing housing costs, and a rise in homelessness, we have increased our goal considerably to $250,000.  Says Bill Hochstin, volunteer chair of the Dartmouth United Way campaign, "Even if you can only spare fifty cents a paycheck, every donation provides special support that truly matters.  It all adds up to a successful campaign."

Susan Wright, honorary chair of the Dartmouth campaign and a member of the  Upper Valley United Way Board of Directors, thanks all of Dartmouth's many volunteers—faculty, staff, and students—who so selflessly give of their time to sustain our local and increasingly global communities, of which Dartmouth is a vital part.  "Congratulations on helping others in need.  I hope each of you who can will give to the Dartmouth Campaign.  There is no better way to give locally than United Way."

Your department coordinator will schedule a United Way speaker and will then distribute solicitation packets that include information about payroll deductions and other ways to donate. Just fill out the deduction card and return it to HB 6123.  For more information, contact Bill Hochstin at William.A.Hochstin@Dartmouth.EDU
