Temporary employees are a valuable resource in meeting the fluctuating demands of Dartmouth College. Recognizing the need for high quality, dependable temporary services, the Office of Human Resources and Procurement Services are pleased to announce that Dartmouth College has entered into agreements with TOP Employment Services of Lebanon, NH, and Technical Needs, Inc., Lebanon, NH, for temporary employment services.
The agreements were awarded following a competitive bidding process among major employment agencies in our area, managed by a committee consisting of representatives from Human Resources, the Tuck Business School, Thayer School of Engineering, the Medical School, the Controller’s Office, and Procurement Services.
Both of the selected agencies have local offices in Lebanon and are familiar with the College's temporary employment needs. Effective January 2, 2005, both agencies are committed to pricing over the next three years that represents an approximate 10% reduction in the rates formerly charged to College departments for filling temporary support staff positions. Departments are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the newly negotiated pricing arrangements by contacting TOP and Technical Needs, Inc., when temporary employees are needed. Each agency has developed qualified, pre-screened candidate pools in the accounting, administrative, library, medical, technical and service fields. All positions will be filled in a professional and timely manner, covering the day-to-day and short-term staffing needs of the Dartmouth Community.
