Professional recruiters in the Office of Human Resources work closely with the hiring officer to develop the recruitment action plan. If you are about to begin a search for a staff position of any level, first contact your HR consultant about your general staffing needs and to determine whether a position is necessary. Each division is assigned a professional recruiter who will help develop the advertising plan, source and screen candidates as requested and assist with the recruitment process.
Our employment recruiters and their respective areas are:
Beatriz Cantada, 646-4064
Alumni Relations, Dean of the College, Development, Finance & Administration, Thayer School, Tuck School
Denise Robbins, 646-3765
Arts & Sciences, Dartmouth Medical School, Office of General Counsel, President's Office, Provost, Public Affairs, Dual Career Network
At the beginning of a search for salaried positions, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity (IDE) collaborates with the recruiter and provides data for search chairs that describes the availability of women and minorities in the national pool of candidates for the specific position being filled. We also identify hiring goals, if applicable. Additionally, on a regular basis, IDE provides information to departmental and divisional leaders about Dartmouth's effectiveness with regard to Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action in recruitment and hiring.
