To support our employees who work at the tobacco-free DHMC campus, and for the overall health and wellness of all Dartmouth employees and covered dependents, you can now receive enhanced smoking cessation benefits through any of Dartmouth's health plans.
Prescription nicotine therapy drugs (e.g., Buproprion SR and Chantix) and Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRTs) are available without a copay. Just present your Anthem card to the pharmacist and also make sure the pharmacist codes the prescription as a smoking cessation product.
Over-the-counter treatments such as patches, inhalers, and nasal sprays are now eligible for full reimbursement.
