Adoption Reimbursement

The College provides a reimbursement up to $5,000 for fees associated with the cost of adopting a child. This benefit is available to regular benefits-eligible employees and employees may receive reimbursement for adopting a child as follows:

• Maximum reimbursement per adoption transaction per employee per calendar year: $5,000.

o This benefit is pro-rated for employees working less than full time.

o Reimbursement requests can be made for services within the current calendar year or for the prior calendar year.

o If more than one child is adopted during a single adoption transaction, the maximum reimbursement is $5,000.

• Employee must request reimbursement using the Request for Adoption Expense Reimbursement form and provide appropriate supplementary documentation (e.g. invoices and proof of payment).

• Reimbursement is made in the employee's paycheck and can be paid in either a $5,000 lump sum or in smaller amounts as expenses are incurred.
