May 12: Legendary jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins met with Dartmouth students to share perspectives on a career that spans more than 55 years. The conversation was moderated by New York Times jazz critic Ben Ratliff and included a Q&A session.

May 7-11: Traditional Russian artist Marina Forbes visited a local school for a one-week cultural arts residency, teaching third and fourth graders how to paint Matroyshka nesting dolls and master a traditional Russian folk dance. Part of Global Eyes, a Hopkins Center outreach project funded through the ArtLinks Initiative of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.

April 1-7: Pilobolus@Play! Dartmouth celebrated archives, premieres, and a homecoming of Pilobolus, founded by four Dartmouth students in 1971. Click on the thumbnail to view images from over ten Pilobolus-related events that took place during the first week of April.

July 28-29: The sights and sounds of Rajasthan, India came to life during Musafir's residency at Dartmouth. The group presented a free, standing-room only community lecture/demonstration, followed by a dinner and cultural exchange hosted by Dartmouth's Amarna Undergraduate Society. The next day, Musafir greeted enthusiastic audience members after their outdoor performance in the BEMA. The concert was part of Dartmouth's Summer Arts Initiative.
