January 15: In a workshop designed specifically for architects and architecture students interested in exploring spatial and temporal ideas in a new medium, participants solved movement-based problems using the language of dance guided by choreographer Doug Varone and members of Doug Varone and Dancers.

November 8: The HopStop family audience gained a new appreciation for the violin, viola, cello, and the world of chamber music through an interactive exploration of rhythm, sound production, story-telling, and orchestration led by the Adaskin String Trio.

November 5: In a collaborative Hopkins Center/Hood Museum event, Bart Thurber, curator of European Art, spoke about contemporaneous works on view in the museum, and the Adaskin String Trio discussed and performed music by Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn for a capacity crowd in the Kim Gallery at the Hood.

October 18: The striking resonance of a Gamelan orchestra filled Alumni Hall as members of the audience participated in the intriguing theater form, wayang kulit or shadow puppet theater of central Java in a HopStop performance led by Jody Diamond, Director of the American Gamelan Institute.
