Matt Wilson Jazz 101 at Spheris Gallery: November 8, 2007

In conjunction with Dartmouth's "After Hours" program, jazz drummer Matt Wilson and his band "Arts and Crafts" played an impromptu rendition of Thelonious Monks' song "We See" at the Spheris Gallery. Matt spoke about creativity and improvisation in our daily lives and encouraged the crowd to be imaginative and to not be intimidated by jazz!

Matt Wilson Jazz 101 at Brace Commons: November 12, 2007
Matt Wilson and his band Arts and Crafts presented an intimate Jazz 101 lecture/demonstration in the student lounge at Brace Commons in the East Wheelock cluster. Performing selections from their latest recording "The Scenic Route," the band answered questions from the audience and jammed with Dartmouth faculty member Fred Haas and Dartmouth guitar instructor David Newsam.
