Traditional Russian artist Marina Forbes visited a local school for a one-week cultural arts residency. She worked with fourth graders on painting Matryoshka dolls and taught third graders a traditional Russian folk song and dance. The week culminated in a dramatic presentation and a display of over thirteen sets of visually stunning colorful nesting dolls.
This residency was part of Global Eyes, a Hopkins Center outreach project funded through the ArtLinks Initiative of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.
