As you may know, a group called the HomeTeam has been formed to lead a redesign of the Dartmouth home and top-level pages.
We have completed the research phase of the project and are now working on the design. We have some initial thoughts we would like to share, and we would also like to hear more generally from users. To that end, we are holding a Web Town Meeting to hear your suggestions and requests regarding the Dartmouth web site. The meeting will begin with a discussion of specific directions for the new design, followed by open discussion. Among the directions we would like to discuss are:
- Developing an "Inside Dartmouth" section that contains practical, day-to-day information relevant to Dartmouth users
- Providing regular "features" that educate and inform users
- Increasing the number of sites that use the Dartmouth template
- Increasing the number of stories on our site, and diversifying the modes of storytelling to include more media and imagery
