This spring term Web Services will begin working with its Arts & Sciences website partners to migrate their content into the new design and new content management system, Drupal. Web Services supports 168 websites in Dartmouth’s current Content Management System, OmniUpdate.
The migration will occur in waves with the help of a dedicated migration team. Departments will be contacted about one month in advance of their migration to confirm scheduling and availability.
The general order of migration, as approved by institutional leadership, is:
- Academic departments and academic governance
- Centers and programs
- Administrative departments
- Everything else!
The migration order for Arts & Sciences academic departments that are supported by Web Services has been published (NetID required to view).
This list does not represent an absolute sequential order as migrations will occur in batches and depending on the size of the site, some may move into the new system more quickly than others.
More details on the order of migrating center and administrative department websites will be released in February.
Your comments and questions regarding the migration effort are welcome.
