Transfer Credit Policy

The History Department will approve transfer credits for History majors and non-majors for only Dartmouth College's institutional exchange programs. For outside the United States those include:

  • Bocconi University, Milan
  • Choulalongkorn University (Engineering)
  • Keble College/Oxford
  • Killam Fellowships Program, Canada
  • McGill University [Montreal]
  • University of Copenhagen
  • German Universities Exchange Program
  • Keio University [Japan]
  • Kanda University (Kuis)
  • Yonsei University (Korea)

Within the United States they include:

  • Morehouse and Spelman Colleges (Atlanta)
  • University of California at San Diego (Muir College)
  • Twelve-College Exchange:
    • Amherst College
    • Bowdoin College
    • Connecticut (also National Theater Institute)
    • Mount Holyoke College
    • Mystic Seaport Program
    • Smith College
    • Trinity College
    • Wellesley College
    • Wesleyan University
    • Wheaton College
    • Williams College (Mystic Seaport Program)
    • Vassar College

The Department will not approve transfer credit from any institution except those mentioned above.
