Tu Bishvat Seder (Green Edition)- 1/25

Dartmouth Green
On Friday, January 25th, the Dartmouth and Upper Valley Jewish Community took part in a Eco-friendly Tu B’Shevat Seder, celebrating the Jewish holiday of the trees. Students from different environmental groups on campus were invited, and in addition to a traditional seder students shared some of their experiences relating to the intersection between sustainability and spirituality. Every effort was made to produce a local or organic dinner and to be as mindful of environmental impacts as possible. Instead of cut flowers as centerpieces, primrose plants were bought and will be kept at the Roth Center until spring, when they will be planted outside. Finishing off with Rabbi Boraz singing a rendition of Eli Eli with participants, it was a wonderful night!
